How's it going.....

My name is Mark and currently in Essex area....

I am about too take delivery of my new s1000rr Sport. It will be my first BMW, and hopefully not my last:subdued:.......been riding many years now, having most sports bikes. Last season was a 2014 R1, to which I had fully modified....yes I have that illness too:subdued::subdued:...

Really into my Motogp, with going to a few last year....with riding to Le Mans, which is highly recommended. Hoping to get to at least 3 this year, with a ride to at least one.

Pretty much a fair weather rider, trying to get out most early Sundays. If anyone is close by let me know, once this weather changes, we could hook up.

I will post a pic once the bike is here (about 2 weeks) and keep ya posted on any mods I make.

Cheers

M

Morning Mark - good to have you with us :)

Which GP you going to ride to this year? I was considering Brno - appears to be a very biker friendly track although I've never been personally. I did Silverstone, Catalunya & Valencia last year, driving to Silverstone (of course) and in the van with camping gear to Catalunya and in the car/on ferry to Valencia. Only confirmed Silversone this year at present but as the sun becomes a more frequent visitor it loosens the vice like grip on the wallet, so a couple more trips may come bubbling up.

Good choice of bike btw .. when you say 'new' do you mean 'brand new' ? if so.. well jell :)

Hi mate,

Thanks for the reply.... yes it's a new 2017 model.... midlife crises and all that.... as for GP's, was open to which one to ride too.... to be honest my partner in crime has lost his license, so I'm a bit of a Joanna when it comes to the longer trips.... so would be flexible, if a tag on was on the cards.

Not a great lover of silverstone tbh.... got soaked last year(maybe year before) but will probably go for support... want to go to Simocelli one, but would fly there. Will see what groupon deals come out and see what happens. This year is all about the bike and getting some miles in....

Nice intro Mark, hope you enjoy your new bike and have a great time at the MotoGP. Brno is a funny place especially at night time, there is a red light district very close to the town centre that is fine during daylight hours but takes a very intimidating stance when it is dark.
Never been to the race track but 'accidentally' ended up on the wrong side of town a few years back. Lol

Welcome to the site.
