Has PCP financing absolutely screwed the market for premium used bikes?

I'm not a fan of pcp though
I've had to take out personal loans before as the banks don't loan for bikes only cars

PCP is pushing the prices up for everyone.
when punters think they can afford a 15k bike for 99quid a month, theres nothing to sop the manufacturers putting the price up next year to 17k with the payments still 99quid and slightly lower interest or higher final payment... Soon bikes will be 25k but still ?99 per month...

Plus the wording is misleading "Guaranteed future value" - people think thats its good to have a high "future value", but in fact its not - call it what it is, the final payment that you have to pay if you actually want to own the bike!

I have a rule - for essential transport i'll use borrowed money (personal load). for my toys like motorbikes, i pay for them outright. if i cant afford my toys outright, i haven't earned them and need to go earn more money before i reward myself with new toys.
