Hard to change gears when pinning it

Went out on my gen2 this weekend

I was pinning the throttle and when it came to changing gears, the foot lever just wouldn't budge
No matter how hard i tried with the foot to change up.

I had to let off the throttle and then open the throttle to change gears.

Its done it both days and its happening in all the gears
But its intermittent

Any ideas what it could be
And will this be covered under warranty

As always ur help is greatly appreciated

Do you feel it try to change or is there nothing?

If its nothing it is usually that your foot didn't release the lever fully on the previous upshift. Any pressure left on it will to stop it activating. Easily done when on a hard charge.

Anything else may mean you need a recode by the dealer. However I used to twitch thr throttle on my gen2 to help the Shift-Assist out.

Nah, can't feel it trying to change.
But its even happened a few times going from 1st to 2nd.
Its never done this before.
Even when down shifting and then pinning the throttle open, its not up shifting unless i come off the throttle and then open throttle a bit

Is your chain adjusted properly?

Is it only on very hard acceleration? Does it work at slow speeds?

Does the gear lever freely return to its central position?

I first noticed it under hard acceleration
It doesnt happen at soft acceleration
Defo happens at mediam and hard acceleration
But its intermittent
On my way home now i had it under hard acceleration between 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th and it was fine, no issues
But that was a very quick 10 min blast

Chains fine.

Do you mean shifting using the quickshifter?

What you describe sounds like the microswitch at the clutch might not be operated when under hard acceleration. Sometimes the wind momentarily disengages the clutch.

Check the clutch lever play, make sure it has only +- 1mm of free play.

my gen 2 had a faulty shifter a couple of years back, exactly as you are saying. It was 'electric' issue in the black cylinder on the shifter rod near the rear set. replacement unit solved it 100% (warranty)
