I have a standard Gen 4 seat for sale, used. If you have an M bike and plan to do any sort of miles you need one of these. The difference in comfort between the M bike seat and the standard bike seat is night and day. The standard seat is very like the seat on the Gen 3 and you can do decent miles on it in comfort. The M seat by comparison is like a plank! The M seat is much firmer (read hard). You can see from the comparison pictures the M seat has a much more pronounced edge to it and has a much rougher, grippier cover. The M seat actually makes the seat height higher too as the foam is so hard. The foam on the standard seat is thicker but as its softer you sink into it more. The standard seat is wider.
