I watched a BMW video a couple of days ago about the changes. In essence there will be some modifications to all the bikes to get them up to the latest euro emission requirements. The head of development said that there would be no detriment to the power or sound of any of the bikes. Nice trick if they can pull it off.

Spotted that they are now introducing carbon black to the Mot?rrad range, bringing it over from the cars. I don't know if it will be a colour option on the s thou but I think it would look fantastic.
 
I spoke yesterday with BMW motorrad dealer about 2017 s1k . And all s1k RR and s1k r plus XR is suspended in manufacture , because of euro 4 , XR model come back in assembling at november 2016 but S1k R & s1K RR START make 2017 january ! But this is not the end of story he said is in 2020 coming euro 5 more badly restriction for Us ;( propably 600cc cant meet euro 5 and will b stop manufacturing ;-/ but this is just a rumore i think because i dont think so they quit with middle range of engines .... That all news what i get from my local BMW dealer .
