Hi all, has anyone else found the 6 to 8 week lead time to book anything to do with their bikes a real pain? I?ve finally got my wheels back from painting and tried to book an MOT and service. Turns out I?ve no chance of getting in until late July.

Its the start of the summer riding season. Loads of bikes emerging from hibernation. I'm lucky to have one MOT in Feb and another in Oct. Is your garage willing to have you on speed dial if they get a no show?

I?ve asked for any cancellations. Will see how that goes. Got it booked in at a local garage for an MOT and oils change Thursday morning so at least that?s done while I wait on BMW.

Are you talking dealer service/MOT? I have a bike due a June service, arranged service with dealer 3 weeks ago... for mid-July. I don't take the blue bike to the dealer so often these days. 2 weeks ago I arranged appt for a local BMW-only, Motorrad qualified, independent it to have a new coolant pump fitted, which was done last week.

Yup it?s for service and MOT. I?ll get the oil changed and MOT done by a local bike specialist and have booked for late July to have BMW carry out a full service on it.
