Sorry,I should have put this all in the first post....but to all the over 50?s here, a meta study reported in the New Scientist last week said that muscle strengthening, that?s all muscles not just the legs, is as important, if not more, than cardiovascular fitness. Obviously you need both, but build those muscles was the takeaway. It?s often neglected and plays a huge part in everyone?s immune response as well as overall fitness.Btw, both the static cycle and rower are cheap amazon purchases, and they?ve both lasted for years with no problems or maintenance. I think I paid around ?500 for both.
