Hi... Just been arguing with a mate who's jealous of me owning a Bmw and is always trying to find fault with them..... He's telling me I've got to recalibrate my bike because I've fitted new tyres!! Please tell me i don't... Thanks
Dave

BMW claim that you need to recalibrate the DTC if you change tyre sizes for example from a 190/55 to a 200/55. From experience I've used 200/55, 200/60 and 190/60 race tyres and never had any problems. If you haven't physically changed rear profile size when fitting your new tyres you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

He's just come off fireblades which he's always had now on a Honda chicken chaser

Lol yes... We just had a weekend in France and to be honest he's fast as around the twisties

We are doing a track day next Monday he's doing it on a Vfr800.. But he will show a few up

Dave, there will always be folk faster on smaller less powerful bikes, horses for courses. Take care on your track day and don't get intimidated by others.
YOU will be enjoying straddling a 2016 BMW S1000RR so some people will be jealous, just smile and enjoy......

If he is the one who keeps chipping your bike with stones bin him, I always think if something/one doesn't enhance your life get rid of it. Sounds a bit of a Fud.

JimmyMac fine words thank you... I get blitzed all day long for owning one!! Jealousy is a ugly thing

Lol... this is a strange chat... the guy's just jealous Split... if BMWs prices were brought into line with the big Jap 4 overnight ownership of all models of Beemers would qaudruple...

I'm thinking he probably can't stretch to BMW prices...sounds like a bit of a dick as Jimmy Mac says.

I don't know anything about the bloke but agree with Jimmy and Stu, he's no true friend if he's constantly having a pop, you either need to tell him straight or put some distance into your association with him and enjoy your bike without a jealous fool spoiling it.

Sounds like its just a bit of banter between mates, my mates are all the same and its only because deep down they want to own one. Dont take it personal (you probably dont) and just give him the banter back
