Gents, advice again please. Like a t**t I think I accidentally contaminated my brakes when wiping ACF around the wheel. I tried everything to decontaminate them, but eventually bit the bullet and bought some new pads. I cleaned and cleaned the discs obviously and I've just been for a 150 mile spin to bed them in. They still don't feel right. So my question is, on normal road tyres on public roads after a few miles of reasonably spirited riding what is the average level of retardation you guys are getting? Maybe I'm not getting enough heat in the tyres but I simply cannot get more than 8 m/s on the meter... and maybe it's in my head but they don't FEEL good enough. The new pads are Brembo SC's so they should be...

Pad bedding is sort of mythical, it's a requirement more so no a sliding type caliper, like the rear.
The fronts have 4 pistons and a pad each pm all independent. 1 heat cycle will do it.
We put fresh in to race, and use the brake from out of pit lane to the start line. Then that's it. Full Bollocks into turn 1 with hard brakes.
Looks like your on the new bike pm them calipers and stock Brembo pads are bullet proof.
Remove discs from wheels, clean with brake cleaner and light wire wool. Saturate the pads again and wipe with clean blue roll. Shuffle the pads up. Re fit. Unless you actually drenched the brakes and pads in ACF, it will be mind games :)

Thanks Paul, I think you are right, part mind games, and part temperature. I'll be in the doghouse if my missus reads this but I think trundling around behind her wasnt helping with tyre or brake temperature. Just been out again and got a lot more aggressive, managed to push the meter off the scale... thanks!

Possible just push a quick bleed in to just put your mind to rest. Just a quick crack of each side. Should be fine mate.
When you go out, just drag a bit of front brake for hundred meters. They will be boiling then.
