You're not wrong, to quote the response I got:

"The noise is the exhaust valve servo motor, usually due to being out of adjustment, sticking or software update required."

I cant see how that is true unless the exhaust valve is often out of alignment after refuelling etc, along with the anecdotal evidence that we all experience the beep and it doesnt cause an issue, leads me to think the diagnosis is wrong.

Hmmm...I think mine was removed with the Akro system install. So mine shouldn't do it any more if that's correct. I will monitor it.

Apparently it is defo the servo motor, can come and go depending on component temperatures, so thats the official response guys.

There's 2 so it has to be the 2nd under the fuel tank.

Although i disconnected the rear one it is still there so might be that. As for the one under engine i cant remember if thats there or not. Im pretty sure i left it in as i remember it being a tad tricky re attaching the cable.

Nope, its normal, we just didn't know what it was. Probably heat expansion related.

That gets my vote as it does sound a bit like a squeal rather than a beep now you mention it
