Loupe , absolutely loving the look of the AR can. I'm so tempted, which model is it ?

Thanks Beavis, it's a GP1.
Originally bought from the for sale section by another member then decided he wanted a different kind. Happy days!

Hi there pipehose. Im looking to buy a pipe for mine and I fancy the gp2r slip on too. Can u advise if it's a decent note? A lot louder than standard pipe? Also, it possible to remove the servo cables and keep the valve in open position too? I dunno if it's worth doing?

very nice note much louder. when servo cables are removed valves stays open. it will probably be a bit quieter if you leave cables on .
the look of it is class and good quality. easy fitted

That's good to hear buddy. Looks well sweet, I wanted this can before I even bought the bike. I'm torn because if I buy the AR slip on then I can't at a later date then purchase AR headers to suit the slip on? According to austin racing this would be the case?

Does yours pop and bang on hear change? Any flames?

Cheers

I'm still deciding on which to go for and have come across another option over the Arrow and Akra, the Yoshimura R55 slip-on. The cost of the Akra and slight change in sound is swaying my choice a little, but if it's key to maintaining performance then I will end up getting one.

I've also read elsewhere that installing a short slip-on on the 2015 has a negative effect on performance but have also read that it's only the headers that are critical to performance - which is correct?

Exhausts

The standard mapping in the ECU is designed specifically for a longer exhaust to optimise power and torque. Hence why the OEM exhaust is the length that it is and the optional Akrapovič Slip-On is broadly the same size; but significantly lighter. I certainly noticed that throttle response was smoother with the Akrapovič fitted compared to the much shorter Arrow Slip-On. As for headers, the standard exhaust system is fairly free flowing anyway as the catalysts within it are unrestrictive and have little effect on power output.

Have just fitted a stubby Akro to my 2015 and could not see any down sides to it compared to std but will give it a really thrashing when the weather clears up a bit.

I put an arrow can on mine due to mainly the way it looks.i have done trackdays at donnington with no issues at all regards noise and sound testing. Don't get me wrong, it's not quiet like the standard but a very nice noise indeed.
iv not tried the akra but I have no issues with the performance. This bike has more power than what most will ever be able to handle even if an end can of any make is fitted.
go with what you think looks best
