I'm finding the fairing screws come loose and I have already had my side stand unbolt itself (I have the 2015 one)
Any one got any clever thoughts other than having a pocket of spare screws!

Blue screw lock for the fairing screws - be careful what kind of screw lock you buy (and do not get red, the strongest, which needs heat applied to undo).

As for the side stand...wow. That happened to my 2012 one...*after* it had been recalled for that problem, thought they'd have sorted that one by now.

A bit of Loctite is the easy answer...

[EDIT] Beaten!

For the fairings I'd be weary of loctiting them, the bolts tend to round off easily and if they are stuck it might be a real issue getting them off later.

Side stand though that's a different matter.

Decent loctite should (counter intuitively) make fasteners easier to remove as it works as an anti-seize. It's not so much that loctite bonds the thread, it just means you need a good consistent torque to get them out. Having said that, it won't help if the fasteners are pure cheese.

I lost one screw out of the belly pan on my bike Charlotte so I just go round with an allen key now and then and check they're all nipped up

A fairing screw coming loose is usually a sign that it wasn't tightened up enough... I wouldn't put lock tite on fairing screws, normally some copper or ally paste to prevent corrosion..

As for the side stand, I've not heard on it on the sthou's but k12/1300 models side stands all seem to come loose at some point
