Akrapovic end can query

Is an akrapovic exhaust for a Gen 2 mounting system any different to a Gen3.

or to put it another way, will an akrapovic shorty end can fit a 2015 gen 3 s1krr? The owner says the end can is for a gen 2 but maybe wrongly classifying it.
