Hello,
I drove in a pothole and my rear spring strut started leaking. The bmw dealer told me that i have to change the complete rear spring strut.
I am trying to understand what i need exactly. My bike is not under warranty anymore, i thought of buying a used one (found one with only 200 miles for example).

My bike itself has 44k kilometers (27000 miles).

1) Is the spring in the link a "complete rear spring strut" or do i need anything else?

2) What is the difference between this two spring struts, especially because of the big price difference? (1078 vs 1730 euro)

3) The black cable in this picture is not included in the link above as i understand, is that correct?

564344 = NON-DDC (Not Electronically controlled)
565344 = DDC Version (wire for DDC control)

You need to buy the right version for what you have. DDC suspension or not DDC. (Dynamic Damping Control).
If you know nothing more then just look at your existing shock and confirm if it has a cable or not.

At a guess ~90% come with DDC, it is unlikely you do not have it.

This link is easier to read for most on here;
