Hi All,

A few friends have commented on both my 2015 and my new 2016 S1000RR chain. From new, both appear to be fully adjusted (or almost fully adjusted) as though the chain is a link or two too long.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a reason for it? It's been suggested to take a link or two out of it but I'm reluctant...

Comments would be appreciated.

I think earlier bikes ran 118 links and the '15 has 120.Presumably BMW did this to tie in with the other geometry changes(cheaper than re-designing the swingarm).Personally,I wouldn't shorten the chain just because my friends don't think it looks right!-they're only jealous!

BMW wouldn't do it without good reason.
