Don't look like the 2015 bike comes with a tank protection pad, what's that all about ?

Do they normally ? I've had 2 brand new fireblades ( 09 & 12 ) and I had a brand new ER6F in 08 and never had a tank pad with any of them.

I've had new Blackbird, Triumph 595, Yamaha Thundercat, Busa, ZZR1400, GSXR1000 all without tank pad.

No bikes come with them as standard. They are usually an aftermarket item. Get the dealer to put one on a part of the sale

Going to have to get one I've only done 60 miles today and can see a few tiny scratches already

The HP4 came with one on, I dont see why the S1 doesn't, the price of the bike it would cost BMW buttons to put one on. The dealers should put them on as a good will gesture.

Agreed

Well I just purchased a tank pad for the 2015 from BMW I nearly fainted when he said ?36 fookin hell what a piss take

My 2013 did not have a tank protector on - the dealer said they were included with the bike but they would not apply it. Some people had complained they didn't like it or it was not on straight so they stopped putting them on. They are not on from the factory. The dealer was happy to give me one though. I guess some dealers are happy to just stick them on - some not.

Yep the dealers totally f**ked mine up!!! See attached picture. luckily they agreed and gave me a replacment which i attached myself and I'm now happy with. My advise, get one thrown in with a deal on the bike but... FIT IT YOURSELF

LOL that's not even close to straight. I bet bike was on side stand and they set the pad vertical.

Not going to bother till my new tank arrives. Certainly burst my bubble when I noticed this within 10 mins of leaving the Dealer:grumpy:

Holy cow Stuart - even I could do better than that - Thats awful. Loup - feel for you man, brand new bike. At least its an easy fix. Just keep your eyes closed when you ride it - you'll not notice it.

Was thinkng it might be more streamlined? Might not need the limiter lifted till after I get the new tank fitted:eagerness:

They'e only ?20 from Motofix but 2015 one is not out yet - called them this morning though he said they would be available soon.
