Has anyone else noticed earth leakage when charging the bike's battery whilst it's still connected to the bike?
I noticed a tingling coming from the metalwork of the bike so I narrowed it down to the trickle charger.
I then measured the voltage between the negative terminal or bike's metal to a local earth and measured up to 51V ac!
The charger I have is an Optimate 4.
I contacted the support and they replied the following
"This is normal. It is very common for class II electrical devices with switch mode power supplies to have a small amount of current leakage."
I just only recently noticed it, and checked the electrics are all fine.
