    Some work pics

We must have worked together at some point Jimmy, don't know a Christine and Stevie Brown though, I was just a laddie then, about 20 - 21. Can just about remember some of the other names you mention, I was working up in gas compression commissioning the compressors with the vendor, paired up...

What Premier members can offer each other?

Hi Jimmy, sorry, not been on here for a wee while. I worked with James Scott on the Lomond hook-up, 1992 ish if memory serves me, that's pretty close for punt in a job 20 odd years ago!!! Think Tiffany and North Everest were on the go at the same time??? I was a tiffy doing the commissioning...

    Clutch lever screw

Yep, should be a nylock nut on the other end mate and it shouldn't rotate with the clutch lever. From memory there is a brass bush insert that the bolt passes through to ensure the clutch lever rotates freely with the bolt and nut done up tight. Check your brake lever as well!

Moffat Thursday 23rd June Meet Up Info

:congratulatory: Your dead right Mick and I do apologise, it's that posh East Lothian accent that had me confused. You've earned the right to dual citezonship :unconscious: Just noticed your avatar, the famous Knockhill hairpin (your local circuit) the last time I went round that in reverse...

Moffat Thursday 23rd June Meet Up Info

Yes mate, a brief encounter in a lay by, doesn't sound right that :) I caught up with the English contingent about 20 miles from Stranraer and tagged on the back, they thought I was police for the first 5 or 6 miles :) The Scottish lads had already headed for home on an alternative route so...

I've a thing to go to at 09:30 tomorow at the wee mans school, his last day at primary before heading to the big school so can't miss it. I'm about 45 minutes from Moffat so going to try and catch up somewhere on the route if...

    Very impressed

That's a nice touch and a great idea. Got mines done at Parks Motorrad East Kilbride. Sound guys, waited on it and watched through a viewing window then the mechanic spent a bit of time talking to me about the bike and what he had done. Why can't more companies realise that it makes all the...

    Bike cleaner

SDOC100 for me is as good as anything for removing dirt/flies. Contains corrosion inhibitor as well and does a good job. Not cheap though! I bought Muc-off miricale shine polish the other day, expensive at ?15 but a little goes a long way. Very easy to apply and not hard work at all to buff up...

    Hi from Perth

Won't be long in dragging in Mate. Just got my first service done yesterday, derestriction takes it to another level again. I moved form a 2012 blade, loved the blade but you definatley wont regret it. I never had a test ride and hadn't even sat on one before it was delivered. Where did you buy...

    Is it worth it

Was at Parks Mottorad today, red & white 64 plate gen 3 sport, 6500 miles for ?14500!! Totally standard bike. If you went in with a 15 plate you would be lucky to get offered 10.5k for it from a dealer.

    Is it worth it

+1 for the post above mate. If I hadn't already bought mines I would have been after this at that price. Has all the toys and a few of the must have extras already fitted, tail tidy etc.. If you do go for the Gen 3 you could do a lot worse that one.

    First run

Give this a read, they explain it better than I can. There is a lot of detail in the handbook as well mate. https://medium.com/armins-blog/2015-bmw-s1000rr-understanding-user-mode-1a9016e7c430#.drs1nuk7o

    First run

You get a wee red plug, should have been included with your paperwork pack. It needs to be plugged in to enable the slick mode function. If they didn't give you one just give the dealer a call and ask for one. All the details on slick mode are in the handbook.

    First run

Enjoy pal, mines is in to East Kilbride on Tuesday to get the magic unlocked, been a bit of a slog getting to the first 600 with that wee white light screaming at you every time you reach 7k, it's hard not to. Get the miles in while the sun is shining :)

    St Mary's loch - moffet

Was there yesterday myself mate, seen the dreaded dust rising from about 2 miles away on the road down from Broughton into Moffat. Then found the same along towards the loch! Ended up going up over the top past the reservoirs just to get away from it! That's one of the best roads in the area...

    Knockhill trackday vids 28/05/16

Been stuck on 59's at Knockhill myself for the last 2 years. Timed using an Aim Solo and can manage that lap after lap on a 600 and a 1000 but can't seem to break it. I did however break my collar bone last year trying :) Rys1000rr has put up some cracking reports on his track exploits...

    2015 leaking left fork leg

My 16 is the same, not visible on the hub itself but leaves an oil ring on the fork cylinder. I'm assuming it's just new fork seals bedding in, I've had this on my track bikes following a seal change. Going for its first service on Tuesday, I'll bring it up then.

    Knockhill trackday vids 28/05/16

Nice riding mate and some decent times. Did you have it in slick mode or do anything with suspension settings? How did the down shifter work on track? Stevie
