    Couple of exhaust questions

Just a few easy questions for someone in the know will a 1st gen exhaust fit a second gen ? Will I need servo buddies for the front servo and the back one ? will I need new gaskets and where is best to get them ?

    Stands

Anyone know if the stand from a 2015 will fit a 2013 ? mines silver and I want a black one. The part number is one digit different but I thought that could be because of the colour. There's a couple on eBay for ?20 and it would just be easier than getting mine powder coated

    Annoying oil leak

All done!! I've taken the bike for a big ride out today and all is good ( no oil over my boot and exhaust ). One thing I will say though is be careful when you put the cover back on! there are two pins that fit in holes in the cover and if they have oil on and there is a little oil in the holes...

    Annoying oil leak

Thanks for the advice! At least I know I can take the cover off now. I've had the bolts and grey silicone delivered from my local bmw dealer. I'm hoping to do it Saturday if I get a chance. I'll post back how I get on

no does'nt look like it. A gather some one has took the original bolts out to put the cover on

    Annoying oil leak

The R&G engine covers bolt on with stainless steel bolts. I gather the ali BMW bolts are soft so could possibly seal them selves as you torque them up. The R&G covers are thick plastic with metal tubes in where the bolts are so I could try and put some silicone either end of the metal tubes but...

    Annoying oil leak

I noticed on the last couple of rides I have an oil leak. It's coming from the front engine cover on the right ( stator cover ? ). The guy who had the bike before me has put the R&G engine cover set on so I took that off to have a look and found that the leak is coming from one or two of the...

    intermittent indicator fault

Right sorted at last ! had a service booked in with cannon BMW for Saturday just gone so I asked them to do what needs doing to the ecu so it wasn't showing the fault. I left my them doing the service for a while ( hours ! ) then popped my head in the workshop to see how it was going and they...

    Brake pads

I forgot to say I have a service booked for 2:00pm and although it's no problem at all for me to change the pads when they say to me about changing them is it easier just to get them to put new oem ones in

    Brake pads

Morning all. just sat here reading all the brake pad threads and I still have a couple of questions.... ill probably get brembo but I need to know what ones. Do I get the oem ones the SC or SA or RC ? i ride pretty fast on the road ( abs coming on sometimes ) and only two or three track days...

How old is old , tyres

Just ordered a pair of Metzeler sportec M7RR from oponeo for ?193 all in. Cheapest place I could find but now I worried about the date codes. I phoned to check and the girl I spoke to was useless, started quoting delivery times didn't have a clue about tyre age and said they were already on...

    intermittent indicator fault

I think it might have been my wishful thinking that the BMW ones have them built in because they worked straight away on my 2010 with no fault. I think I'll try taking the motodynamics resistors of the back and put them on the front and see if that works

    intermittent indicator fault

Thanks for the reply! just to clarify I have put the BMW led ones on the front and the motodynamics flush ones on the back. I think you're right. I'm either going to have to get the front flush ones or get the ecu flash so it doesn't pick up an indicator fault.

    intermittent indicator fault

I fitted the Motodynamics flush indicators today and I'm getting an intermittent fault. I used the harness they do and the resistors and I'm still getting a fault. When I first put them on I was getting the fault strait away so I put my BMW front LED indicators on because they have the resistors...
