Week 7 or is it 8??

Hey Guys, Finally got so bored that I took the bike out and washed it. I was never one to get the toothbrush out after a ride and in all honesty never took any real care with the bike. Spent hours getting all the small tricky bits done and cleaned the chain for the first time in 5 years. (I...

    HP parts changeover

Hi guys, it’s been a while....:culpability: Im looking to px my 2015 RR with a 2019 R in the next week or so after I take the R for a test ride to make sure I actually want another bike or if I’ll give up altogether. My question is would the HP levers and rearsets from my bike fit the R? I’d...

    Captive spacers

Wow. How easy to change a wheel now, no blood sweat and tears. Took me longer to align the old spacers and get the wheel spindle in than doing the complete wheel change now. If you have them you will smile and say yep, been using them for years. If you don?t have them, get them!

    HP4 forged wheels

Are these the same for the HP4 and the 3rd gen? Looking at spacers to fit my 2015 RR. Thanks!

First track day of the year

The usual 4am start to get to our (local) track yesterday where it was cold with grey skies. Managed to get out twice when the heavens opened and we thought that was it for the day. Amazingly the day and track dried up which saw another 2 outings. The track has been resurfaced and is really...

    First time out

I managed a quick run tonight after work as the sun was shining. Couldn?t believe the state of the roads with potholes, some would take you off the bike if you hit them! Hopefully these will be repaired for the summer but it was nice to blow the cobwebs away and get a blast.

    First track day with slicks

I went down to Knockhill yesterday for my 5th trackday. As most of you know I've been down twice with the front losing grip and had lost all confidence. On previous track days I was tensing up and almost waiting for the front to go on every corner which resulted in not enjoying it and tiring...

Rear wheel removal with HP adjusters

I've looked at the rear wheel for 20 minutes now and a few videos on removal. I have the above adjusters fitted so before I go loosening these off and moving them, I'm just checking I actually have to. Im thinking that the adjusters just make it easier to line everything up afterwards? Or does...

    HP Race ECU

I'm reading various descriptions of what this actually does, I'm looking at the basic ECU which allows me to run a titanium Acrapovic full system. ( or that's my understanding of it) Is this a plug in and play system or do I have to faff about changing the fuelling etc when it's installed? I...

    Gilles pegs

Just a heads up for anyone with HP Rearsets, While trawling through looking for rearsets I came across this website selling replacement pegs. They look almost the same as the HP ones except they have a hexagonal end while the HP ones are round. I previously bought a complete HP left hand side...

    Rearset recommendation

As title, I know there's a few out there but I'd like some owners views I currently have HP ones and they are fantastic, I can thankfully repair the peg this time but not wanting to pay ?250 per side each time there's a problem. I know Ry now uses Alpha racing and I like the Lightech kit but is...

    Mr DIY strikes again

Ok, so all was going well and I loosed off the front axle screws to remove the wheel then remembered something about not removing them after I half turned the axle nut... Its all back together now and the spindle looks to be sitting flush,

    Knockhill on Friday

My forth outing to Knockhill went very well. Having low sided on a previous one at the start of the day and a 2 day event which Stuart also booked which poured rain for almost all of it ( there's a theme here with Stuart and rain) I haven't actually had much track time. It was an open pit and...

    Fairing frame locators

I've read several times that the 2015/16 plastics are easily broken, to remove the front indicators (or top up the radiator) the side fairing needs to come off. The locating pins that secure into the frame are very tight so I put on grease around the rubber pins which make removal and refitting...

    Trackday

Managed a track DAY today and the weather was excellent. Didn't want to tempt fate by saying earlier as the first time I slid off and the second time it poured rain all weekend. I feel like I've had a right kicking lol.
