    Everyday bike??

Use mine for all occasions ( no track days, will get round to this one day!) . But in particular, I commute into the outskirts of London ( when the sun shines) and haven't come across any stumbling blocks yet. My Previous K46 RR competently managed this in all weathers for many years ( I did...

What disc lock do you use?

Even if you removed the mounting bolts, I assume it wouldn't get past the fork leg itself? But I also assume, if a thief is THAT desperate or informed they'll be having it away one way or another....

    Buying exhaust

My personal choice - I'm not currently interested in tracking her. So it's aesthetics ( my personal opinion) and raucous notes - does come with a baffle. Racefit https://store.racefituk.com/collections/bmw-s1000

    Bike software/firmware update

Very disheartening to hear both jays and hploggers stories. while at the same time, quite worrying! But I have to say, BMW seems very marmite in this regard. I wish you both more reassuring and expected levels of service with whoever you choose next!

    As Alex said :)

    Temp gauge

Must've of took it past that 99 degrees of lean there Immortal!:p But in all seriousness, that's a live display of your lean angle and you can change how quickly if reacts to lean angles. Its in the manual some where:p

    Temp gauge

That'll be the lean angle indicator you're seeing immortal - the service message actually covers your temp gauge ( well it did on my 15' gen3 )

Fitting new brake pads - dry or ceramic brake grease ?

Always used nickel slip myself over copper. There are many discussions regarding the two ( but nothing major in difference for us on a motorbike) Just found the nickel slip to be more of a versatile lubricating/ anti- sieze paste. But there's always a bespoke paste/ lubricant for any...

2015 s1000rr throttle tube replacement question

A Few guys have removed the OE grips and replaced them with Renthal mediums, I believe on a 2012 model ( but you have to have two throttle sides, due to the extra size the element adds.)...

    Bleeder screw size

L/H drill bits work a treat as well. But they can be quite pricey in comparison and not as readily available as easy outs are.

    Pillion seat lock fitting

Unfortunately, I don't personally have anything like that spare - maybe another member might still or good old eBay? Or if you have the solo seat cover, you could 'borrow' the plate from that. I think it's interchangeable?

    Pillion seat lock fitting

Your seat didn't come with anything fitted to the underside of the pillion seat, where the barrel should be? It should like roughly like this - see the metal plate? ( sorry for the crappy image)

    Torque Wrench spec

Personal choice has always been Norbar. Used them at work and home and never had an issue with accuracy or function of the wrench. +1

    Warrior bike lift

I have to admit there isn't any shortage of these style of stands/lifts. Which allowed me to apply the Bursig instructions; hopefully to help evosport out. Personally, the Abba system looks the business IMO. But it depends on your space and needs. ( I've got the basic superbike stand myself)

    Warrior bike lift

The Bursig Stand is very similar ( I couldn't find any warrior instructions) So here's a link to Bursigs youtube - which has a few comprehensive adjustment/ setup videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/BURSIGUSA/videos?sort=dd&view=0&shelf_id=0

    Warrior bike lift

I see there's an adjuster on the third picture ( 20170520_165337.jpg) I assume releasing the bolt in the centre of the mounting pins and altering the adjuster would pivot it into position? I don't own one, just having an educated guess:p

    Disk locks?

+1 Quick release key rings to make things even easier as well
