Hybrid X - Advanced Nano Coating

Tempted by the full bike kit for mine before it gets chipped or scratched - how simple is this to apply? Electronics, computers and mechanics I can do, but paintwork not so much :) Do you think a helmet kit would cover just the front fairing and tank for stone chips and scratches? Also, will...

    Wunderlich tank bag

I can add my positive feedback too for the Wunderlich bag - I have the soft sided version (thanks to Cavey's original suggestion) - and use it on most rides. I use a powered phone mount in the stem rather than a Garmin, and found I needed an extension to clear the bag, but I'm really happy...

    2015+ ABS Pro

My 2016 sport (delivered to UK during Feb, registered as a 16 plate 1st March) did not have ABS Pro as standard or as part of the optional performance pack. I decided to pay my dealer for the retrofit upgrade, as it was the only 'missing' piece of tech from the BMW that I liked the idea of when...

    2015+ ABS Pro

Now fitted to my '16 at the end of last week. Dealer specifically made a point of clearly stating it does not work in Slick or User, but does now work in Race unlike the retrofit to older bikes. Hopefully I won't be posting a review of it any time soon though!

    2015+ ABS Pro

Thanks for the input all - I ordered the software from the dealer yesterday, they said it would be closer to 2 days to get the activation code - so should be applied either Friday or Tuesday next week depending if they can squeeze me in. Similar price levels to on here ?357 + fitting = around ?400

    2015+ ABS Pro

Dealer tells me it is ?400 fitted to a 2016, and they need a week to order the software, so cannot fit today whilst doing the first service. Was the ?357 a fitted price? Including VAT?

    2015+ ABS Pro

Thanks for the heads up on this! First service on my new S due today, so will go and have a chat and see how much it is to add this at the same time. Rich

    Ground Anchor

I can thoroughly recommend the kit from http://securityforbikes.com I have a 19mm chain and Squire lock, along with their torc ground anchor - seriously strong and all very well made. I also purchased their 'anti-pinch pin'... This means the chain on my S goes from pin > anchor > through...

    Power for accessories

Re: Accessory Plug Hi Ry, there are two plugs in the left fairing, 1 that looks like it is for the 2D, and a second that fits the accessory cable. The US s1k site mentions this is an accessory socket, and seems to work, but wondered if there was a third thing you could add to the front (lap...

    Power for accessories

Managed to get around to fitting my USB supply today, and found out that 2015+ bikes have two sockets that fit the BMW plug. There is the socket in the right hand fairing panel already mentioned that is on the earlier bikes too, apparently for the GPS lap timer, that seems to give some people...

    V-Trec Levers

Just to add, fitted to mine too, and cruise and QS both work fine - much better looking than the standard ones. When you move the microswitch trigger piece across from the original OEM clutch lever to the new one, you need to use the original tiny bolt too, and it took a little bit aligning...

    Crash Bungs

Ordered 19th, arrived on 29th - so not as quick as UK delivery, but still arrived before I picked up the bike - so seem like an ok supplier to me. I really like the look of them too, with red inserts they match the bike quite well too, especially with the axle protectors too:

    Help Fitting Wunderlich Tank Bag

I went to fit my newly arrived 'Tank Bag Sport' from Wunderlich, and I think there might be some bits missing. The instructions show a spacer and washer for each of the bolts, but all I received was the two bolts: Did anyone get washers and spacers with theirs? Looks like they would help...

    Evotech Performance Discount Code

Arg, sorry alex & GixerD, maybe an excuse to buy some more bits? :) Glad it was useful Kev! I'm working hard to bankrupt myself this week before I collect - Evotech tail tidy/rad&oil guards, Vtrek levers, Lightech sliders/axle protectors/bobbins, Wunderlich tank bag all now here or here...

    Insurance / European recovery cover

@soofsayer - Awesome - didn't realise I was getting that! From the FAQ on that link: Provided your BMW bike was registered from new in the UK and not imported, you are automatically entitled to two years BMW Insured Emergency Service cover from the date of first registration. BMW Insured...
