Day 1 was with road tyres and out learning the corners in the morning session. Lunch time, out on the V02's. (first time on slicks). got used to them, along with some pointers that Alex was giving.

Day 2 was short lived. 2nd session and noticed coolant leaking... hoping it would be the breather pipe, a closer look and what seemed like a previous stone chip repair had started to leak again....

I was ready to throw the towel in and a few people said to ask around for Red Weld..... a few pits later and nothing.... the very last pit garage had a Spanish JuniorGP full race team....

Asked them and he said he had some epoxy to mix up, but meant that the it had to be fully cleanded and dry.

I said if I could wheel my bike to their garage and he agreed... a Father and Son from Jerez that owned FIFTY Motorsport came to my rescue... threw a couple of mechanics at it and the RAD was off in 20 mins.

A clean up and application of the epoxy, with a few hours to cure in the sun seemed to have done the trick... whilst waiting, took the car on the perimeter and got some amazing photos and phone videos (very close to the action)

Hope that there are no issues on the final day tomorrow.... not sure if my transponder is working....reading 2.22.583

Alex cracking on at 2.05

Looks like a 2:05.143 will be it for me. But instead of a single freak 2:05 like last time I managed a number of them.

Contis are showing a geometry/suspension tear.

Going out for one more in the afternoon as Amits cameraman #notpaidenoughforthis

Lots of people were having tearing.
But yes looks like this was suspension related.
Cleaned up a fair amount when I followed amit and wasn't giving it big handfuls of throttle (smoother riding, less aggressive on the drive).

It was fine day one. Small amount day 2. Progressed day 3

Great 3 days on track. Eventually ended the last session on the last day with a??

That's a massive improvement Amit. Did you have any instruction during the event?

They didn't have anyone. So it was a case of Amit self learning and talking to Leigh and myself about what he was doing where. Once he had some circuit knowledge we tried to give things to work on. Gears to use, apex points etc. For a relatively inexperienced track rider he did great taking in on board and applying it.

Ah shucks?. [emoji847]. Yes really appreciated the track advice. Really make a difference. Will be walking the track next time. Chatting to a few lads at the airport just now, they were allowed after the 1st day.

Else Maybe I just walk the perimeter road again [emoji2957]
