I've always used Motul (I think 7100?). Really just because it's a well known brand. Expensive without taking the p*** so gives me confidence in its quality and mainly just because I used it since I started on bikes. I'll continue to use it unless something happens to make me doubt it.

Castrol Power 1 Racing 5W-40 has a label on it which states 'approved for BMW S1000RR'.
