Well, I spoke to the driver in the morning who's not the usual guy...we agreed he would call me when say 30 mins away as ALL the other drivers ALWAYS do.. I was busy at work, like every day !......the call duly came, he was at my front door !.. arghhh..

So had to double back between calls and meet him.... don't you hate efficiency at times...

To answer your question Rob.
A glance..looked ok and wheeled into garage...couldn't be arsed tonight when I got in either.. should be fine as it's a 6k...

Spoke to David yesterday...they would only give me a third party figure as the mileage is too high for them...so I'd be as well selling it private and walking in with the cash..

I'm going to keep it, it looks mint... the only bit that's annoying me is the stonechipped under tray... so I bought a minter OE off EB..lol..

Get it Friday... I'll be scared to take her out she's that clean...lol.

My undertray arrived today... also this useful thread pitch and diameter tool from Pro Bolt...

Going to run her up on the ramp and see if the dealers put everything back as it should be..

I just wondered about the crazing on my old nose cone lens... curiously got my laser heat gun out...

Switched to Fahrenheit... Nearside read 121f.....then my garage door flew open....DAD.. turn it OOOOOFFFFFF.. lol. Kinda forgot about 11.30pm and next doors kids..

I would have thought the high-beam (left?) would have been hotter than the low-beam... or at the least a similar temp.
Even so, less than 50 degrees C shouldn?t cause lens to raze should it? Lens too thin maybe?

Ahhh. No those were taken when in normal use..ie LHS running lamp on only

I can see how you think otherwise due to the brightness of that LED on the LHS.... Silly me has captured my hand in the image and not shown that the Hi beam was not on. !

It's your Canbus keeping them on, they draw so little current the bike doesn't shut them down with the rest of the bike. Similar to BMW Sat Nav staying on for 2 minutes after stopping bike.

You will have to take this into consideration on your next doggin' excursion.

Say turn off engine, 5 seconds to unzip trousers, 2 seconds to unleash the "Beast" finish your business, still gives you 1 minute 48 seconds to do something else before your lights go out!!!!!!!!!!!

I was being serious when i said tidy job, I noticed the two red female crimps on your loom, only advice would be to always put a male crimp on your negative wire. Makes reconnection easier when your eyesight is going.

Careful with the tape, if you accidently wrap it round your finger like a ring to test it, you will need to cut it off before your finger turns purple and dies. The pins and needles are awesome.
It's great stuff though.

PS Where has your Pirelli decals on front mudguard gone?

My eyesight has gone.. canny see a thing without my gegs..

It never came with them..on that note I'll need to get a pair...

Handed in my old panels to a quality body shop along the road.. they will cut them with compound and machine finish them....whats the score with these aftermarket bellypan decals...any good ? The bellypan I took of I'll refurbish but a few of the decals are scabby...

When I fixed up the written of HP4 a few winters back I bought an aftermarket set of decals for around ?30, looked very cheap when on so I took them off almost immediately. I then splashed out at Clarks for the original BMW ones, think in the region of ?145. But in comparison to the cheap ones they are like night and day.
At the end of the day its an expensive bike and deserves to be kept as it should be.

Up to you Stuart but seriously the OE ones are far, far superior. They even come on a template to make sure you fit them in the right place.
