Re: Winter Workshop

Like the look of this Rear sprocket...nice bit of machining and the edges are all chamfered... finish is smart.

Fancied a cushioned frontsprocket, anyone used before ?..

Re: Winter Workshop

Hi Stuart, both sprockets look smart. Not used cusioned front on the BMW but had one on my old GSXR, can't remember the make I used but it was fine.
Happy winter working - hope you've got a good garage heater:smile-new:
Cheers, Rob

Re: Winter Workshop

Came across this full fairing kit in Stainless for 22 quid on EB... I bought Alu last year but they were too soft and didn't fancy paying 90 quid off Probolt for a set...

The finish on this stuff looks decent, nice wee embossed cap on the screws... full set inc screen kit...

Re: Winter Workshop

My winter projects are on everything, apart from the BMW.
Spent last week getting my van sorted for mot, new jacking points fabricated and welded, stripped and cleaned and pump, repaired small exhaust leak and replaced handbrake cables and a brake line. Stuck it in for test today, and passed with only an advisory on rear wheel bearing, so that will be tomorrow's job.

Next on the list is small repairs to sills on my corrado, and drop the rear subframe to replace bushes and maybe blast and paint suspension components. Also the imobilisor and alarm have gone **** up, so need to try ripping that out, just to move the car around the garage.

Then it will be onto the sp1. Full service, clean up headers, maybe send them away to get ceramic coated. And give the rest of the bike a general tidy up.

Hopefully replace the crankshaft seals on my guzzi T3 as well.

In amongst these jobs, the Mrs is chasing me to decorate the bedroom and get a new carpet.

Re: Winter Workshop

Just my daily driver. Bought it 10 years ago when I still had a crosser. It's had a lot of abuse, and still going strong at 140k miles. Gets a wash once a year and gets the rubbish picked out from under the seats around mot time, along with a yearly oil and filter change, never lets me down, but it is starting to show its age.

Re: Winter Workshop

What year is ur Corrado Kenny? I've got a 97mk3 Gti with some tweeks....;)

Re: Winter Workshop

Sounds like my mates wee van... he's had it for years.. I don't think he's even washed it...
