Hi all,

I'm trying to choose between the GP style Akrapovic pipe (including headers) and the more traditional full system.

Does anyone have any recommendations or upsides and downsides of each one? I can get both full systems for about the same price.

Thanks in advance!

Both are good options Berti, I have the Evolution system and @maddogsween essentially has the full GP system.

The Evolution system is indeed loud without a baffle, I certainly don?t think you?d want it any louder on road.
The GP system looks better IMO (only negative are the hanger angles), but it is very loud, it has a sharper tone than the Evolution system. It sounds awesome to my ears and I think it?s OK for road use in the UK. The problem is that you?d never be able to do a UK track day with the full GP system installed.

If I were purchasing again, I?d still go for the Evolution system, as I like the additional versatility it provides. That being said, I think the GP system sounds awesome and as it?s a shorter silencer you?d undoubtedly appreciate it more on the bike than the long Evo system.

Best of luck with your decision and I hope you are wholly satisfied with your exhaust upgrade. It certainly is a massive transformation [emoji16]

If you want to be able to do UK trackdays then the system with the traditional exhaust is much more suitable especially as you can fit a baffle.

For what it?s worth, I have the GP slip on on my R. It was 100db on noise test at Snetterton which wasn?t an issue :)
