Looking for recommendations for waterproof gloves. Although they are for Autumn/Winter use I don't want thick gloves, and they don't even need to be that warm (I have silk undergloves if I need them, and of course heated grips). They just need to be long enough to go under my jacket and be very very waterproof....

I've got a set of Dianese waterproof mittens to fit over leather gloves, which I carry around with me, which do a good job. However, they are a bit of a faff to get on/off. What are my options?

Cheers

I've wondered about bar mounted mitten things, but can't decide if it's sensible or sad. :D

Held though, Held would be the brands I'd go for especially their dual use stuff like Air'N'Dry.

try Dainese Scout GTX. I've had a load of others and theses are v good & my fav. The primaloft inside really helps keep them warm in sub zero stuff. Not too thick either on the bars... good shout

My Aldi waterproof gloves have kept my hands dry for three years now in some truly horrible weather, and they were only about 20 quid.

Hand muffs - each to their own but I think you'll look more of a ponce.

I have some held gloves for cold / winter and they are excellent.

Best waterproof gloves ever are the rukka ones imo.

I've pondered about those muff 's but just can't bring myself to get them
If it's a really bad winter I might try the bark busters ones

Not pretty but might put them on for Jan and Feb if it's bad

For warmth go heated with Gerbing. Heat the back of your hand where the cold air is hitting. They are quite bulky. Used them at -2 and hands still toastie, nuts were numb though! Rukka Cosmo are excellent to around 8 degrees. Tried muffs and they do **** all

What's your budget?

Rukka Argosaurus get good reviews but are very expensive, the Rukka Virium also look good at a more reasonable price. I recently replaced my old Racer Multitops with a pair of Halvarsson Flex, which aren't bad but the gauntlet is very small so it won't fit over the cuff of a jacket - not a problem when it's raining of course.

Any recommendations for winter gloves..not fussy about water proof more keeping my paws warm on a cold day.

I remember looking at a pair of BMW gloves that doubled as winter gloves, guy in Dalkeith showed me a pair and they looked good..

Under 100 would appeal.

I have a pair of Held 4 seasons gloves, dont know the exact name, but they are really good. They are thin enough to give enough feel but also keep the hands toasty. Well worth a look at the current range, I rate Held very highly for all the stuff they do.

I had a pair of BMW gloves a few years back and they all but disintegrated when i washed them, and bmw were not interested in replacing them, apparently it was my fault washing them, needless to say I have stayed away ever since.

Stuart that's the 2 in 1 BMW ones. They are made by Held and have a 2 year warranty, I got a pair a few months back and I've been wearing them in the snow in Andorra this week. I have been told that some folk had leaky ones but John Clarks do a straight replacement for the whole two years. Mines have been great.

A couple of years back I broke the zip whilst in the dealers on my Rallye Pro jacket and they checked their computer and told me my jacket was 23 months old and asked me to take a new one off the shelf and leave mine, couldn't believe it. Mines was far from clean and I never expected to get a new jacket for just a zip, if it never snapped when I was in the dealers I would have just replaced the zip and still been happy with my old jacket.

Away and get yourself a pair ya big skinflint, much did you spend on eating out this weekend?

I can't remember what mine set me back Stuart but I remember getting 10% off at Clarks.
