Have DWALO come on my 2014 HP4 dash, understand this is something to do with anti theft battery, does it need to go back to the dealers to sort ?

I had the same fault after only a couple of weeks ownership. The alarm unit had a fault and it needed to go back in to be sorted out. Make sure the alarm fobs work correctly with the alarm when you get the bike back, mine didn't and it had to go back again for the fobs to be reprogrammed after the alarm fix.

Mine also popped up today. DWALO its a 2013 model.. According to the user manual it means the alarm battery is low.

Has anyone got this resolved without going to the dealers?

mine has done that twice. Both times the alarm was replaced under warranty.
The alarm battery is easy to get to and replace ( i tried the first time)
it's not rechargable, from memory its a CR2032
but if you have warranty, get the alarm swapped.

My HP4 did the same, faulty alarm unit, back to the dealers warranty replacement I'm afraid mate
