Hi guys, has any used or is using any of these puncture prevention liquids, e.g. Slime, that remain liquid within the tyre until required

are these products ok to use within a motorcycle tyre

funny you should ask mate , I got a puncture last night was stranded in a shity place so my Bro went and got holtz tyreweld and it done sweet FA , basically pissed out the hole in my tyre and when I rode the bike it flung everywhere , wish I hadn't bothered, avoid!

Hi DL, this is a different product you deflate tyre, remove valve, and pour it in, replace valve and inflate, the product remains in the tyre until the dreaded puncture happens, it seals as it happens

ahhhh got you mate, never tried it someone on here might have though, sound interesting

Davy said a ****** place, so I'm guessing Parkhead. lol

Oh Frank, steer clear of Slime mate, its ok for slow moving tyres but speed wobbles on a RR is not recommended.

spot on jimmy a new a read it somewhere. uch it wasn't far fae my house stu, gleniffer braes but by the time I realised I had a flat and stopped the bike I was just round a blind bend in the pitch dark with virtually no way of getting off the road as it was all just marsh, bloody so many cars came flying round thought me or the bike were going to get smacked tbh, quite unnerving lol , ma brother in law rescued me with his van eventually , nightmare.

By the way lads up the Glennifer Braes is where all the dogging goes on in Paisley at the car park in the sky... manky bastard Davy...that wher ye got a burst tyre, you sure the white stuff all over your wheels was puncture repair gear...eeewwwwww lol

As everyone else has said, I'd avoid slime.. it's not 100% effective at the best of times, it contaminates the inside of a tyre so no other repair can be made (I know some people disagree with plugging tyres but it's definitely better then slime) and it can cause massive wheel imbalance...

Also.. from the point of view of your local mechanic it makes removing the tyre a bloody messy job!

On the subject of tyres, do you guys recon this'll pass an MOT? [emoji23]

Stephen, there's a good 5000 miles left in that tyre, but only on the edges, lol.
I thought I was good at getting my money's worth, well done.
