Hey just after a rough guide for tyre pressures , front and rear for track days , running conti sport att.

any offers welcome :p

Thanks in advance

A good place to start is 30/30psi but so many factors depend on the day and riding ability.

Depends on the track as well.

Normally fron is a little higher than the rear as the rear works much harder and so temp will rise more.

I would try 31f 29r

Im afraid i wouldn't have conti's near the track, nor the roads for that matter

I thought that 'til I tried a 2012 demo bike on track with the latest ContiSport2,s-not much difference to k3,s

Agreed, well, I was pretty impressed with the ones on the 2012 I test rode.

Fast bike mag (aug 2012) came with quite a comprehensive tyre test pull out (pressures, wear rate, feel etc) all on 2012 s1k and zx6r at dunlops rest track, interesting reading....

Only had experience of the attacks, not the 2's....... not to be repeated

the 2's are a completely diff experience to the original conti's. start with 31/29 is my advice fella

I read that, the pressure information was good but the lap times were effected by brake pad wear and weather conditions through the day.

Can you scan and post the pressure bit then? Cheers

Thanks.

WOW at the sportsmart pressures.

SO is the hot number for front and rear?

Interesting that, thats going to put the cat amongst the pigeons on here with the conti's 2 posting faster times than the K3's?? happy with the rosso corsa results. although will have to drop the back pressure by 1 psi lol

Look at the braking force for the K3's lowest of them all. Like i said the test is not like for like as they only had 1 set of pads and the wind got heavy for some of the runs.
