It has been nearly a year since I won two VIP hospitality tickets as guests of Gresini Racing to a 2017 season MotoGP at a Bernardo's charity auction. After a very long wait I am off on the first leg in just over a hour.

The GSA is the weapon of choice for this 8 day tour. All loaded and ready to go. The route is through central/west France and over the Pyrenees into Spain avoiding motorways and following anything that looks curvy on google maps :).

First off is a 3 hour trip down to Berkshire to stay with my partner in crime overnight before heading for the Chunnel early tomorrow morning. Can't say I'm looking forward to the M25 through rush hour but needs must.

Anyho, I am going to post some updates and pics along the way and hopefully get some quality MotoGP access to the pits etc.

Look after the place please whilst I'm gone :).

Have a fab trip, say Hi to James for me.
Hope you manage to dodge bad weather for the duration.

Enjoy the trip and keep us posted. Sounds like a lot of fun.:encouragement:

Have a great trip, interested to see what you think as planning on going there next year. Will watch with interest

Pyrenees today. The N260 what a road. Epic roads every one we did with everything, fast sweepers, switchbacks, chicanes. Scenery is simply amazing with completely different landscapes and formations around every corner.

Aragon by lunchtime tomorrow. :)

Was that photo taken just after sun-up, 'cos theres usually a lot more people crowding round those trailers! It was 4 or 5 deep at Silverstone. Wish I was there. Hope you have a brill time - and maybe we could do a forum-gp event?

We're in the VIP village so it's not overly busy which is nice. We also have our own grandstand opposite the finish line.

Spent the FP in the aprilia garage and on the pit wall soaking up the experience.

Obviously there are restrictions on what can be photographed and the lighting is not ideal so I apologise for some of the image quality.
