Just wondering if this engine should sound that way?
She still breaking in 300miles at the minute.
But after second ride i notice ticking noise at around 3500-5000rpm does any of you had any problem with it? Bike is 2016

Engine Noise

The engine noise is normal but it can be a bit unsettling at first; particularly if your used to riding Japanese bikes.

Yes I can hear the ticking noise at those rev ranges too. I just think maybe the valves, camshafts buckets and shims operating creates a more prominent noise at this speed of revs. my cbr does it too. Possibly the frequency of the noise more susceptible to our hearing.

BMW use a lever system from the cam to the valve unlike the standard reconfiguration of cam direct to valve. Its a noisy lump for sure but its completely normal they tell me.
