Excellent, so that's tiny jeez!...

I was going to try that single LED unit, but ended up out visiting my nephew after a cardio class then had to repay Saturday nights agreed debt [emoji97][emoji97][emoji97] to an ex of mine !

The worst part of these IKEA pieces are always those cheap ***** die cast cams that lock the parts together..

My hypothesis appears correct, tried a single pole LED, no warning on the dash... I'm as sure as can be that the triple LED drew too much juice and upset the canbus parameters..

Disappointingly the triple LED dash error remained when using my GS-911, so was unable to suppress the error which left no option other than to swap it out for a single unit.. also binned that ill fitting tail tidy.

Fitted a tail tidy a few months ago, however whilst riding the bike last week it threw up this error message on the dash for the first time.

Any idea what could have caused it ?

Re: Fault Dash Message

If you remove the OEM number plate carrier and/or the mirrors/indicators the bike will display an error message on the screen. The system will keep displaying the fault message until you reconnect the OEM plugs. You can suppress the warnings in the ?Racetrack Configuration? menu by deactivating the ?Lights Warning? function.
Does this reflect when you change to the evotech tail tidy as well or does the error never appear?

Just had this error appear after having the Evotech tail tidy fitted for 8 months.

The rear number plate led light is now flickering, along with error message.

Anyone else encountered this problem with or without a tail tidy fitted on a gen4?

Smells like a warranty claim, intermittent broken connection somewhere.

Checked the wiring loom? Someone in the states heat damaged their loom after fitting an NRC tailtidy.

Its not a warranty job if its a modified part.

Just remembered that the Evotech tail tidy uses an evotech rear number plate led light rather than the original BMW one, I have just emailed Evotech to ask if they can send me a replacement led rear number plate light.

Never had a problem with my EvoTech which included the led as supplied. Just check connections thoroughly.

Stu, Just turn off the light error warning in the menu's like the Gen3? I haven't tried it on my new bike but it will be there. Or add a resistor to cure the problem, that's all it is. Measure the resistance of the original number light with a multimeter and order the equivalent one from Maplin's :victorious: (Sorry they went bust Grrr.) Order from ebay. J
