Im not a big fan of theirs but we have all booked through Focused Events. That said, the last FE track day we did via them was actually surprisingly good, efficient and well run - maybe Kev has decided to finally listen to the critics and up his game!!

Anyway, i love Snett and it will be good to see any of you chaps there.

Had an awesome day yesterday - weather was perfect - bike behaved impeccably and i rode like a legend (if i say so myself, LOL)!!!!

A little bit of video footage from Snetterton on Sunday - a mate of mine who is a racer and currently sitting 4th in the championship told me to try and keep up, i did my best and even got past him a couple of times but that was more down to the sheer grunt of the BMW over the big bang R1, that or he was just letting me get past so he could embarrass me again!! Either way we both had a blast - this is the second of 2 vids ive trimmed to keep the size down so they upload ok, will try and sort the other one out:

Quality is awesome on my TV but its not so great on YouTube - best if you change the settings to HD when you watch it, makes it slightly better!

We had to go into the Inters group (3 groups) as when we booked it there was no space in the fast - so yes there were a few numptys and rolling chicanes to deal with!! Had fun though and to be honest the fast group didnt look that much quicker.

What's the comparison in numbers on track with FE compared top other TDO's I have heard that they have far too many on track compared to others. I have never been to a FE so could not say?

Did you see anything to that effect?

Cheers.

It was pretty busy to be honest - i think they said there was up to 60 riders per group (3 groups) and that wouldnt surprise me - to be fair i didnt mind too much as it made passing them a bit more interesting but it also meant we never got any really good, clean, fast laps in - i think we were averaging 2 min 10 sec laps - but we still had a lot of fun regardless. Personally i dont like FE track days either but they definitely seem to be getting better in other areas, just wish they tried to keep numbers down rather than be greedy and push as many in as possible. The other issue is garage space but then i have a contact at Snetterton who always puts at least 2 garages to one side for me.

Must be 66 per group obviously? Bear in mind it is a 3 mile circuit so it can probably cope with that number, just obviously nicer with much less. But then track day are now so bloody popular, every tom dick and harry are doing them, especially the weekend track days.

And yes Keith, in one of the vids i decided to take the scenic route when i out braked myself down the back straight and also went too hot into the hairpin once - both occasions were caused by my mate putting me under pressure and/or me trying to chase him down - either way they were my mistakes and all part of the learning curve. However, on one of the laps i had my old friend Mr False Neutral rear his ugly head again down the fast back straight coming down from around 165mph and that unnerved me somewhat!!!

Great day though and cant wait for my next track day.

I would seriously love to do Mugello - esp with the star riders who are attending - but we have already booked up and paid for Portimao in October so i cant really justify it!!
