BMW raised the rear ride height from the 23 model. It's nothing new, I did the same on my new GSXR1000 nearly 20 years ago, and dropped the yokes 10mm too. Bikes like the R1 and RSV4 and now the BMW are all pretty high. Which is fine if your 5.10 plus, but I think I'm shrinking a bit as I get older. Anyway on my new 24 RR I'm thinking about shortening the rear ride height adjuster to the same length as my old 22 RR, and dropping the yokes 10mm, incidentally my Gen 2 came with 10mm of the forks above the yokes. Has anyone tried similar?
 
A seat upholsterer shaved an inch off the foam, so it's probably the same a lower seat now.
