Hi is it possible to reset warnings like the maintenance one, without the use of diagnostics software/pc? My ford van has something similar by pressing the brake and clutch for a few seconds during ignition.

Resetting of Warnings

No; you either need to take the bike to a BMW dealership or purchase a GS-911 diagnostic tool.

my local tyre fitter has a gs911 tool and bmw software reset my service light for a tenner.

Chap on here is selling his unit in the FS section.

Looks like there is an "enthusiast" and "professional" version without the 10 VIN limit but significantly higher cost.

Thats right RR, if you buy the enthusiast one and use up all 10 VIN capacity, you contact Hexcode who upgrade your device software to unlimited for a fee, it doesn't work out much more than the Professional one. Ive only used up 4 on mine and can't envisage filling it soon. Great investigative tool, I have calibrated my fuel gauge on my GSA which BMW told me would be ?200, reset the service light every year after I service the tractor myself, and changed the Bar PSI readout on the dash which has easily covered the price of it.

GS-911 Diagnostic Tool

The new version appears to work with the following models according to the description on the alpha Racing website:

BMW HP4 2013-14
BMW S1000RR 2009-11
BMW S1000RR 2012-14
BMW S1000RR 2015 onwards

Here is a picture of mine Soofy, it does the HP4 and GSA no probs.

Here it is in all its glory, don't tell Health and Saftey that the hair dryer is on and the extra fuel tank has a few litres of premium petrol in it, to top it off the optimiser was turned on and so was the laptop and bike power. Couldn't be more dangerous if I was wearing a polyester shirt smoking a cigar whilst on the phone, hahaha.
