You wouldn't have the link would you? The stuff is set solid and don't want to break the original part.

Hi Billy im on my phone the now and the search isnt clear but if you search and do a trawl theres a step by step guide on here... someone sent me the link a few months ago..

Its dead simple... but find the guide 1st will make it easy

Unscrew. Take off retainer and the lock lever. Look in the lock now exposed. Small silver tab needs flicking into the barrel by a flat screw driver

HI Stuart

I've tried a number of search threads and I must be thick as nothing is coming up. Tried BMW S100RR Seat Cowl Lock barrel holder removal. Seat Cowl, mastic etc. Shriek..... :grumpy:

Hi Alex

How do you get the holder off the original mastic. Do you have to use some sort of solvent or heat?

Ahhh...yeah. I bought a new one (plastic lock mount) for my 2015 Full Six Cowl. Didn't want to ruin the seat.

Hi Alex

You wouldn't have the BMW part number as when I spoke to the dealer he could only find the one you screw in to the seat.

The guys at Fullsix said heat with a hairdryer and then prise away but if I can buy the part might as well do that.
