I guess, the Rear Wheel Nut is secured by a thread (mechanical) torqued to 100nm. Its nothing special, just a rather Large Nut tighened up on a Spindle.
Mine has no thread lock compound (studlock) on it. Perhaps the nut has a bit in it to help it lock like some sort of lock nut. I wouldnt know without looking.
It's like Bananaman says above, if you repeatably remove the wheel often, you will wear the spindle out (circa £150 from BMW), one alternative is to fit the Gilles ACM lock nut.
