Evening all... (what famous bobby said that) anyone any reccs for a small set of rear shock/spring compressors. My mate frequently changes his rear spring on his trial bikes and I just got ******* roped in to the latest one about 20 mins ago... skint knuckles...2 screw drivers...swearing etc and 4 heavy duty cable ties (my brilliant idea..as usual).

You get the picture.. needless to say I wont be doing that again... so..answers on a postcard please [emoji3][emoji106]

Hey Flying, was at my Sisters 50th birthday party last night so missed the opportunity to reply.
I rarely drink alcohol but managed to drink a litre of Smirnoff vodka to myself playing drinkining games with some friends, wtf.
Just woke up in the last half hour to find out I am now the lead passenger in a trip to New York with my Aunt and Uncle to see Billy Joel, who I wouldn't normally cross the street to see. There should be warnings on bottles to prevent idiots like me dabbling.
On top if that my arse is on fire cause I ate too many spicy party nibbles, will I never learn.
I would go back to bed but I'm not even up yet.

Glad you got a spring compressor sorted Stuart, have you taken your new leathers off yet or did you sleep in them?

Cable ties??????????????

You're lucky you've still got your fingers, lol.

Starting to feel more human now but my ring is still stinging.

They boots are really nice in white, did you order the daytona special leather polish that comes in a tube like toothpaste?
Highly recommended to rub all over your boots and let soak in before you wear them outside, prevents road salts getting into the stitching and weakening the thread.
I think you can probably get it here easily enough rather than getting it sent from Germany separately.

'lead passenger' ? Don't you mean lead rider? I heard it was an overland bike trip to New York via Russia, The Bering Strait, Alaska & Canada with your aunt & uncle as pillions.......

Honestly, I don't know what I've let myself in for.

They are my Dads brother and sister and my Uncle is a diabetic with the the onset of dementia to boot. My Auntie is a great laugh and has been a lifelong Bachelorette, full of life and nearing retirement but still managed to dance to all the Grease hits at the party last night with me. My knees are telling me to cut down on the pies today though.

If I mentioned taking a pillion, I guarantee my Aunt would be the first to volunteer, she was desperate for me to take her to Spain this week.

The whole trip started with "Alexa" playing a Billy Joel song.................

Enjoy your trip to the moto GP in Valencia Jimmy. Sounds like you need a break....

.....on the bright side I have to confess that to me Billy Joel isn't quite as bad as I thought he was first time round....& NYC is always a great place to visit 🙄

PS are you taking the tractor or the S1k to Valencia?
