Powercommander and standard exhaust.

I have just fitted a power commander to my bike.
It still has the standard exhaust but i thought I would fit it anyway until I get an exhaust.
The bike only has a K&N filter.
I fitted the standard map from their website but I am getting a few problems.
It seems to rev up slower than before, it is not as wheelie happy as it was, and the second surge of power at 10k revs is gone, but more worryingly there seems to be a flat spot between 7.5 and 10k revs on a WOT and after it passes that it feels almost as if I am forcing it towards the red line.
It is much smoother in the mid range and runs cooler too.

I haven't had it dynoed because i thought the standard map should be pretty good.
Has anyone had these problems? Any or all?
