So, after the 600 mile service last Thursday, today I got the chance to open her up after the restrictor was lifted. I was on my way to see HellRazers Tyco painted bike and a straight run from the lights thought let's see what she can do....

Fook me, I took her reasonably quick in first and banged her into 2nd and gave it maximum twist... The bike lifted and I shat myself, pulled in the clutch very quickly due to being nervous and the popper into 3rd.... My heart was racing and still I knew there was loads more power under that.....

That was enough to know what beast was under there .....

Anyway, it will be a long learning curve... Commuting into central London every day gives me loads of fun but need some quality 1-2-1 time to REALLY get to know the bike :)

Nice to hear you're getting to grips with it. Someone on here once said you had to recalibrate your brain when you get into the upper rev range and it's true.
Set the gearshift light to 13k and have the light flicker madly for a second as you pin it. Just as its about to touch the limiter shift up,it makes the same noise as an old 325i I had 20 years ago when doing the same.
Happy days!

LOL... 13k.. it was on the original 7.5k and I changed it to 10 yesterday..... I will definitely need to engage brain.... yes, I know what you mean... I had a 330i Touring that I used to use all 3 litres ... that too brought a smile to my face ;-)

Just to double check.... that if I pin it.... i wont life the front up that much and land on my arse.... (my greatest fear)...

However, my mate Sparky owns Sparky Stunts Wheelie Machine.... and that I got used to popping a wheelie, however, would never even intentionally think of doing it on the bike ... (yes you can call me chicken :eek:illeak:)

Yes if you're in race mode anti wheelie will allow the wheel to hover for a bit then keep it down. Great for coming out a corner and having the wheel hovering with the power.
You can see the torque reduction on the dash.

So, look at the corner, look at the wheel and look at the torque reduction on the dash ??

The only thing I would be looking at would be the inside of my eyelids..... as they would be bound SHUT ... LOL !!
