Tried to get a pic of the radiator and my phone died. Think my mates got one I'll get him to send me it. He is fine he just slid across the road, luckily the cars on the other side of the road stopped in time otherwise he would of ended up underneath one of them.

Funny you should sat that because at 9am this morning his bike nearly didn't start, he nearly didn't bother coming out.

Yeah I seen the 15 plate motorsport rr at the bridge. Didn't get chance to speak to him as I was bursting for a pee then he had disappeared into the crowd when I come back.

Yep he's lucky it didn't high side him as he lost the back end. Stu the camera is awesome, I need to find a better place to mount it, I had it on the tank today and my tinted visor makes the picture look not as good. Also you see the reflection of my dash on the screen. Don't want any police seeing the speedo haha.

I experimented today with mounting my cam to the frame on the left side, apart from the indicator in the way its a pretty good angle

Sounds a nightmare Iain... glad he's ok and the bikes repairable.. on the cam thing any images of your mounts for the cams guys ive two bullet cams with various mounts and nothing jumps out at me screaming...this is where I want to be fitted..

Ah damn.... see there was a female biker killed near St Fillans earlier today... I wondered why the A85 was closed at Lochearnhead... the electronic road signs were triggered on my way back from Oban today. A death is always a wake up lads.. ours is a rewarding hobby but a high risk one..

Thoughts with the girls family..

I will take a pic of it tomorrow stu. I used the big sticky pad helmet mount and the adjustable arm to mount it on the plastic tank cover. That's terrible news. Rip, shine bright young lady :(.

No bother Iain...Stephens mount is interesting... ouch just had a swaatch of the images.... plastic and metal are fixeable... could have been worse... glad your pals sound mate.

Just spoke to him today, his insurance is covering the damage and once fixed thats him finished with road riding. That's 2 offs in as many years for him, his first one was a dry stone wall at 90mph smashing his leg to pieces on his R1. He said he thinks yesterday was a sign, now he's going to buy a track 600 and a trailer. Oh well thats my trip round wales screwed for July :(

Well thats good his insurance is covering it.

One of my best friends had a similar story. He was out riding, following me and one other, playing catch up I think, ended up going off into a stone wall near Kettlewell. He was ok, bike was a bit bashed but it all got fixed up. He then came to Scotland for a trip and had lost all confidence, not much fun for him. So when we were back I took him for a ride around some nice easy roads, he came off on a corner again, no damage and no injuries. Then a few weeks later I convinced him to come out for a ride up to Richmond. Whilst waiting to turn right at a junction a bint with a load of kids in the car went into the back of him and threw him and the bike a good 100 yards down the road. His bike was written off but he survived with a lower back injury (the paramedic said without the back protector he was wearing he would have been crippled). She got prosecuted. He decided to give up biking at that point, and I was in agreement.

Anyway, you could come to the borders in June instead???
