I went from a '13 to a '15RR, I wasn't convinced the ?5k extra was worth it after a 1 hour test ride, but after a bit of reflection I took the plunge and have no regrets. For me the '15 bike has a roomier riding position up top with less weight on your wrists, it has a lighter 'feel', faster reacting throttle, autoblipper which is fun, enables you to concentrate on your line & braking into corners and gets looser and better as the miles go on, active suspension which isn't obvious at first but smoothes B roads like well set up Ohlins and makes the bike much more comfortable over distance. Spec. the bike with cruise control and the '15 model is very hard to beat as an all round stunning bit of kit but that's not to say that a 12/13RR isn't an incredible device - because it is :adoration:
