Hi James, I moved from an RC8 to my first S1k, it was an early model with a full akra and quick action throttle to help get over the dodgy fuelling. I really liked mine despite the slightly agricultural feel! The RR is a far more sophisticated, agile and powerful bike, whichever one you get you're going to love it
