Brilliant, so you had two 1100L's? I had a blue & white 1100M, fast as, saw an easy 175mph on that but the handling... it didn't want to turn but when it finally did it dived in and required considerable throwing about to get it down a B road at any pace, as for straights I remember it took very little to get it weaving in a straight line but what a thrilling bike to ride. I still flick on ebay now checking out prices thinking I might get one again

Tea trolley handling Mac.... I could get it flat out along the straight above where I live then theres a cracking big left hander... I cant remember now but I reckon I wouldnt have had it any higher than 120 round it or it would throw me off....the thing would be shaking its head......Im same as you but in reality they just dont do what a modern bike can... so its a no goer...but nice thought lol

I have sympathy for her, why did you make her drive a brown maxi?! They were bad when they were new!

Wish I still had my Maxi. Loved it. Did 70K miles in mine in just over two years, never once let me down. This was back in 1997 or so when it was already 17years old and had been owned by my dad for about five years before that.

Not to mention the seats folding down to make a double bed, always useful.
