I was met by a lovely gen3 RR as I rode away from Rockingham today. Turned out to me MacRR and his lovely missus.

Great to meet you again, and loving the roads around your area. :surprise:

Pleased we bumped into you today Freudy and good to catch up again, we'll have to sort out a spin some time and also see if we can have a crack at Rockingham - all groups looked slow today so I think we'll be fine!!

Had a wander over to the paddock and watched for a bit, didn't see your bike otherwise I would have had a chat, how do you find the track? I normally head for Donington but I moved house recently and now only live 20 mins from Rockingham so those Saturday track days they seem to regularly hold would be very handy to go to.

Its ok, I'm not a big fan of the surface, must of been 15 crashes today.

You will struggle to get your RR out of third gear as its a pretty small track.

My go to circuit is Bedford autodrome in this area.

I didn’t know you were going P0u1 or i’d have tried to find you. I was only there for an hour or so, had a coffee and contemplated having an 8 quid burger just so I could regale stories about how I once paid a weeks wages for a snack, but decided against it :)

Regards the track, I said the same to MacRR when we bumped into each other ... it’s fairly compact. I arrived when the novice group were out, and I think that’s probably my stomping ground when the day commeth. You still seem to have done some rubber shredding though!

That made me laugh Wayne, my first wage in the RAF was ?17 a fortnight, so your burger is nearly there.......
*****, I'm becoming an old man, lol.

Haha the costly cheap burger, I'll post up in the meets area next time I head Bedford or Rockingham, there's quite a few s1000rrs on this forum near by, I'm still yet to meet one!

I think you, me and Freudy are all of roughly similar vintage, I was earning ?1 an hour washing up in a pub while I was studying at 16, which sounds like a much better hourly rate than you were on I guess you were getting some other freebies in the RAF....... :friendly_wink: - paid for the HP deal on my MZ50!
