What gets my goat is the constant references to race bikes in articles like this. They don't crow about the 400 odd hp that an M5 chucks out when they are wrapped around a tree.

It's a bit close to home this one. Just taken delivery of my S1000RR a little less than a week ago from North Oxford BMW same as this poor chap. Like him, I've come from a Speed Triple, although I've got some years under my belt.


In reading the article I'm realising that the Red S1K would likely have been the one I test rode.


Poor soul, RIP.
