Very sorry to hear the news about the death of Moto 2 rider Luis Salom in FP2 at Catalunya this afternoon, we're going through a bad run of this at the moment..

No-one else involved and not on camera, but it was clear straight away from the pictures and commentary that it was serious and his bike was impounded pretty quickly.

Yes tragic loss at such a young age! It just shows you that you never know whats around the corner and you should make the most of what you have. We all moan about stress of life etc but what really matters is the health of you and your loved ones

We all know how dangerous the TT is and there have been a lot of fatalities but you don't really expect it from proper race tracks especially moto gp .

Motorsport is dangerous .

I was at the circuit when it happened, the atmosphere changed so quickly it was horrible. Fans crying for someone they didnt know on a personal level but we all share the same interest and us bikers (mainly) are a tight knit community. Atmosphere was amazing on race day as all races were dedicated in luis's memory.RIP BROTHER!!!
