I've LED DRLs in mine for at least 18 months, work perfectly... NB their Lamps, not bulbs lol... bulbs you plant hahaha

My spark used to pick me up on it everytime I said Bulbs... I got fed up listening to him !

I'll see where mine came from

15 quid pair and in stock... I always think when it comes to lighting LEDs are a hit and miss, so your best off going to a specialist... I'm using a company who are getting a pair of DRL LEDs in stock for my Trafic, I emailed them, they then called me and they were very efficient and clearly very knowledgeable on different types/outputs/fittings... expect them in 14 days...Ill find their details..

Ok...

I finally got to test these in the dark!

Low beam is very well focussed with a good spread and a nice cut off so I am confident they will pass at MOT time.

Excellent visibility for me so I am impressed :)

One of my LEDs failed so purchased These on the recommendation from BIKER...

Ordered from Amazon, ?50 and had a 20% voucher, so only cost ?40.

A bit of a pain to install but good quality. But now need the oversized covers. And have zip tied the small ballast out of the way.

Biker... do you have a picture of how you have put the cable out? Do you cut them out at the back to allow the air from the fan to blow out?

Thanks,
Amit

Everyone noticed my rug and messy floor but no one has noticed my picture on the wall of the legend "King Carl"

Ok, after a few hundred miles, one of my sidelights keeps popping out! Bit bizarre but it moves slightly out of the socket, leaving the light on 1/2 power but causing an error message. It works properly when I click it back in but now does the same thing after a few miles. My assumption is that it is slightly out of tolerance so have ordered some different bulbs to try out. If they do the same, it might be the socket is the issue!
Having a go with these ones this time

Was kind of tempted to buy a pack of 10 and take a chance

but didn't fancy spending the next year picking bits of disintegrating bulb out of the headlight :distracted:

Trying to work out at what point the cost benefit ratio means I need to buy the complete replacement LED headlights

I have 10 coming from the manufactures to try Katie, also mine kept popping out and what i did was to make sure, when you re-insert the bulb holder line up the holder grooves to the metal clip. This was the reason mine edged out even though i thought they were secure.

Good tip, ta. Although I might have to find someone who can see what the hell they're doing to help me out on that!

I think its the heat that effects these, I ordered 10 of the soft ones but i also ordered 4 of these, i get them from the makers as i use to have a amazon shop but retained the suppliers..
Im going to try these which cost ?6 for 2 bulbs. Ill let you know how they perform before you shell out ?12 from the eBay ones

Ah, you'll have to be quicker than that to stop me spending money on a bike :shame:

Be good to see what your results are though, I'm sure I'll be needing more soon!

If they pass my strict quality tests i can buy a few.
As for spending money i have just ordered Evotech levers, plus gold dials Evotech bar ends, R&G front fork protectors, front paddock stand my bank balance is hurting after buying this bike. Not to mention the PIAA headlight bulbs.
Recently bought the Puig smoked screen, Arrow can, R&G engine protector, rear paddock bobbins tail tidy. Got to stop now, I've only had the bike 2 months....
